1.1 Power cord connection
Firstly, connect the power cord of the multimeter, control unit(middle machine), and battery testing equipment, as shown in Figure 1.

1.2 Connecting network cables
Connect the control unit(middle machine) to the battery testers using a network cable, connect the control unit(middle machine) to the switch(TPLINK), connect the multimeter to the switch(TPLINK), and finally connect the switch(TPLINK) to the computer using a network cable, as shown in Figure 2.

1.3 Connect the multimeter to the battery testers.
Connect the multimeter test leads, insert the red wire into the positive (10A) hole, and the black wire into the negative hole. Install the fixture to the lower computer channel 1 and tighten it. The alligator clips are connected to the positive and negative probes on the multimeter, and the connection method is shown in Figure 3.

1.4 Start the battery tester and view the multimeter IP
After the device is powered on, start the lower computer, middle computer, and multimeter in sequence. Then click the Shift keyboard, Display key, I/O key, and LAN Settings key to view the multimeter IP address (Figure 4). Press the Shift key and DCV key to switch to DCI mode. At this time, the screen displays the current unit (Figure 5).

1.5 General computer settings
1.5.1 Turn off protection and firewall

Turn off the system firewall, open Settings, find Privacy and Security, enter the Windows Security Center, and find the Management Settings under “Virus and Threat Protection”. Turn off Real-time Protection, Cloud-provided Protection, and Automatic Sample Submission. Then click “Firewall and Network Protection” in the left column and turn off Domain Network, Private Network, and Public Network (Figure 6-8).

1.5.2 Set computer IP
Go to Control Panel, click Network and Internet, enter Network and Sharing Center, and click “Change adapter settings” in the left column. Right-click Ethernet, click Properties, and select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) (Figure 9).

Click Properties, select “Use the following IP address”, and manually enter the IP address: 192.168.10.250. The IP address here is consistent with the IP address of the control unit(middle machine) server’s (Figure 10). Click the subnet mask input box to automatically identify the mask address, click OK, and click Close.

1.6 BTSClient8.0 Software Operation Guide
1.6.1 User login and channel mapping

Enter BTSClient8.0 software, click “User” at the top of the page, select “User Login”, user name: admin, password: neware (Figure 11), click OK. Right-click in the blank area and select “Reset Mapping”, right-click and select “Main Channel Default Mapping 1×8”, then right-click “Save Mapping” (Figure 12), and the software interface will display 8 test channels (Figure 13).

Click “Tools” at the top of the page, select “Calibration”, and click “Connect”. The channel and multimeter IP will be displayed in the left column. Confirm that the multimeter IP address here is consistent with the IP address on the multimeter display (Figure 14). Note: If the multimeter IP is not displayed, you can exit this page and re-enter the calibration and connect online.

Click “System Configuration” and select “Standard Connection Setting”. You can view and modify the multimeter IP here, confirm that the following two options are not checked (Figure 15), and then click Confirm.

1.6.2 Calibration Charge Current(mA)-CC(mA)
Select “Manual-Adjust”, then select the channel to be calibrated (channel 1 is demonstrated here). This is the calibration current, so double-click to select “CC(mA)”. After successful selection, a yellow arrow will be displayed in front of the option, and then click Start.
Enter the multimeter reading at this time into the “Multimeter Value” box, pay attention to the conversion unit. Then click “Fill in” next to “Display Value” in the “Low Point” box below (Figure 16).
Then click Start again, enter the multimeter reading at this time into the “Multimeter Value” box, and click “Fill in” next to “Display Value” in the “High Point” box below (Figure 17). Calibrate each range in turn, repeat the above steps, and complete the calibration of all items.

1.6.3 Calibration Discharge Current(mA)-DC(mA)
When the battery testers does not have a negative power supply, an external power supply is required for DC (mA) calibration. If the battery testers model contains “F”(Like CT-4008Tn-5V12A-S1-F), it means that the device has a negative power supply, otherwise it does not. The hardware connection method is shown in Figure 18. The software operation is the same as the calibration “CC (mA)”.

2.1 Change cables connection
The connection method of the power cord and network cable remains unchanged. Switch the red line on the multimeter to the Input port, then connect an external cement resistor, and clamp the current and voltage alligator clips to the two ends of the cement resistor and the positive and negative probes of the multimeter respectively (Figure 19). Then switch the DCI mode to DCV mode, and the unit on the screen has been switched to voltage unit (Figure 20).

2.2 BTSClient8.0 Software Operation Guide
2.2.1 Calibration Charge Voltage(V)-CV(V)

Select “Manual-Adjust”, select the channel to be calibrated (Channel 1 is demonstrated here), and here is the calibration voltage, so double-click to select the “CV(V)” item. Then click Start. Enter the multimeter reading at this time into the “Multimeter Value” box, pay attention to the unit, and then click “Fill in” next to the “Display Value” in the “Low Point” box below (Figure 21).
Then click Start again, enter the multimeter reading at this time into the “Multimeter Value” box, click “Fill in” next to the “Display Value” in the “High Point” box below, repeat the above steps, and complete the calibration of all items.

2.2.2 Calibration Discharge Voltage(V)-DV(V)
To calibrate DV(V), a constant voltage power supply needs to be connected in series. The connection method is shown in Figure 22. The software operation is the same as the calibration of “CV(V)”.

Select the completed project and right-click to “Manually export current data”. A green check mark will appear before “Type” to indicate that the project has been calibrated (Figure 23).
